Take the 90 Day Challenge

Posted on Dec 10, 2009

Perhaps you have never sat down to read the Bible from cover to cover.  Most books we read from start to finish but often we visit the Bible in a very different manner.  However, if we believe that the Scriptures were inspired and preserved by God for us to receive today, then would it not make sense that we read it from start to finish at some point.  Some may suggest that one will not benefit from such a rapid read and while there is certainly a place for slow diligent study, there is also a place for quickly gathering the big picture.  The famous Adventist preacher, H.M.S. Richards would often read the Bible through in January and then read it carefully through during the remainder of the year.

Beginning January 1, we are inviting our church as well as anyone wishing to join us on a 90 day journey through God's Word.  Each Wednesday night, we will gather in a book club fashion at the church to share and encourage each other in the journey.  If you feel that you simply do not have an hour a day to dedicate to such an endeavor, you can always use an audio version of the Bible and listen to it while commuting or working around in the house.  The program has two grace days within the structure so as to allow for an occasional glitch in your schedule.

It's a commitment but it will offer you rewards in the end that will surpass your wildest dreams.  Why not start the new year off right by immersing yourself in the same Word that spoke our world into existence.  It will change your life forever.  Visit this link to print off a reading schedule or click here to print a book mark size schedule.  Visit this link to read others experiences with the program.  Perhaps it will inspire.

Sincerely, Pastor Jeremy
